Can Narendra Modi's scheme clean up India for good?

Indians across the subcontinent have pick up their buckets and brooms to join a nationwide campaign to clean streets and public spaces.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called on people to use Thursday's national holiday to support his five year 'Clean India' drive.

The promise to improve sanitation and cleanliness was a key part of Mr Modi's election campaign, pledging to build "toilets first, temples later".
