India: New law may let more children work

The Indian government is proposing a controversial new child labour law which will permit children under the age of 14 to work in family enterprises after school.

It says the move will help poor families earn a living and also give children a chance to acquire skills and business acumen.

But, many fear that this will push millions of children into work and out of school. Sanjoy Majumder reports.
