Mumbai's craze for human pyramids

The sport of human pyramid formation has recently been given the status of adventure sport in the state of Maharashtra in India.

Every year dozens of groups in the capital city of Mumbai mark the festival of Janmashtami by forming human pyramids at the Dahi Handi festival.

The Jai Jawan Govinda Pathak group made a Guinness record of forming a nine-tier pyramid which measured 43.79ft (13.4m) at the 2012 festival.

The group spoke to BBC News about what it means for the game to get the status of adventure sport.
