Bollywood actor Kher: 'Sad' to claim India is intolerant

Bollywood actor Anupam Kher has said it is "sad" that some are saying India is an intolerant country.

Speaking to the BBC's Rico Hizon on Newsday, he said it was a problem the country had suffered for some time and "it is not starting now".

He denied that his views were influenced by the fact that his wife is an MP for the BJP, the political party of Prime Minster Narendra Modi and one of the targets of the protests.
