Rain triggers landslides and floods in China

Landslides and floods triggered by torrential rain have engulfed a town in north-west China, killing over 100 people and leaving more than 1,000 missing.

China's CCTV has broadcast images of people being rescued, as security forces and medical teams are sent to assist local rescue teams in Zhouqu, in the mainly Tibetan region of Gansu province.

Local officials say thick mud is hampering rescue efforts.
