'Huge risk' for mine rescue in New Zealand

Rescuers are intensifying preparations to enter a mine in New Zealand to try to find 29 men trapped inside after an explosion.

Police say they are "still focussing on a rescue operation", but the fear of a second blast is preventing rescuers from entering.

Regional police commander Gary Knowles says there is a "huge" risk for rescue workers and he will not send teams underground until it is a "stable environment".
