Severe snow storm causes chaos in NZ

New Zealand has been hit with what forecasters are calling a "once-in-a-lifetime" winter storm, which has brought much of the country to a standstill.

Dozens of major roads remain closed across the North and South Islands and residents in some areas have been advised to stock up on emergency food and water.

The BBC spoke to Pete Potter, who moved from Manchester in the UK to Governors Bay near Christchurch, to find out more about the situation.
