Oil leaks from ship stranded near New Zealand

The maritime authorities in New Zealand believe at least ten tonnes of oil have leaked from a cargo ship which ran aground near the port of Tauranga on the North Island.

Experts from around the world have been sent to assist the salvage operation amid fears that the Rena could break up.

The oil has already started to damage wildlife. Duncan Kennedy reports.
