Japan tsunami: Communities rebuilding five years on

Japan is marking the fifth anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami which left 18,000 dead or missing and washed whole towns away.

The magnitude-9.0 quake struck offshore, creating a vast water surge that devastated the north-east coast, and triggered a nuclear meltdown the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
