Australia cyclones: 'We're going into lockdown' - mayor

The mayor of Rockhampton in Queensland says the town is in lockdown as a tropical cyclone approaches.

Marica has made landfall between St Lawrence and Yeppoon and is now heading towards the town.

Margaret Strelow said that emergency crews had stopped being sent out on calls and residents were being told not to leave shelter.
