Man submerged by Australia storm foam in Queensland
The massive storm cell that caused havoc on Australia's east coast has generated large amounts of sea froth at Queensland's Gold Coast.
Greg Leyson, who runs Facebook page Cooly News, external, shot surreal footage on Saturday of a man being consumed by marshmallow-like waves at Froggy's Beach near Coolangatta.
Mr Leyson told the BBC that the phenomenon was relatively rare, occurring only when a very big storm or cyclone hit the area.
He said locals tended to stay out of the foam due to sea snakes.
