Melbourne terror incident 'shocking and cowardly crime'
Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says a Melbourne siege, which is being treated as a terror incident, was "a shocking and cowardly crime".
Police say the perpetrator, Yacqub Khayre, was known to the authorities. He was shot dead after a stand-off at an apartment block where he held a woman hostage after killing a man. Three police officers were wounded during an exchange of fire.
