Ireland bailout: Protesters march on parliament‎

Sinn Fein protesters have marched on the Irish parliament building in Dublin, angry at the way the government is conducting the country's bailout plan.

The UK has offered a direct loan to the Irish Republic in addition to contributing to an international rescue package agreed with the EU.

The deal has led to the junior partner in the Irish Republic's governing coalition, the Green Party, to call for a general election in January to provide "political certainty" for the Irish people.
