Ash turns day into night in Iceland

Ash from a volcanic eruption in Iceland is predicted to spread south, reaching parts of northern Europe within the next two days.

In Iceland, ash from the Grimsvotn volcano has closed the main airport.

Clouds from another Icelandic eruption caused chaos to European air travel last year.

But speaking to the BBC, Iceland's Foreign Minister Össur Skarphédinsson said that the current eruption was not a major cause of concern for his country.
