Ratko Mladic makes first appearance at Hague tribunal
Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb military commander, has made his first appearance at an International Tribunal in The Hague.
He is charged with committing atrocities during the Bosnian war, including the Srebrenica massacre in 1995, accusations he called 'monstrous'.
He declared that he is not there to defend himself but his people and his country.
John Simpson was in court and sent this report.
