Greece puts hopes on new finance minister

Europe has been watching carefully as the Greek government gathers itself to deal with its crippling economic crisis.

After a week of demonstrations, Prime Minister Papandreou has named a new finance minister, Evangelos Venizelos.

Mr Venizelos, who previously held the defence portfolio, also becomes deputy prime minister.

The BBC's Malcolm Brabant explained why Greece is hoping Venizelos will be able to lobby their case to its European allies.
