Embattled Libyans flee to Italian island of Lampedusa

More than six months on from the toppling of the first Middle East regime in the Arab Uprising many people are still trying to flee the region.

For thousands of North Africans and sub-Saharan migrant workers one of the main routes is from Libya to the Italian island of Lampedusa.
