Polar bear kills British tourist in Norway
A polar bear has mauled a young British tourist to death and seriously injured four others on the Norwegian island of Svalbard.
A party of around 80 were on a trip with the British Schools Exploring Society near the remote Von Postbreen glacier when the attack took place.
Vice governor of Svalbard, Lars Erik Alfheim, told the BBC that although polar bears are very dangerous animals, they will not usually attack.
