Hilary Swank at Chechen president's birthday party

Hollywood actors Hilary Swank and Jean-Claude Van Damme have been in Grozny, in Russia's Chechen Republic, to mark the president's birthday.

Ramzan Kadyrov, who turned 35 on Wednesday, combined his birthday celebrations with the opening of a new development in the centre of Grozny.

Mr Kadyrov, who often performs traditional Chechen dances in public, also treated guests at the gala to a short performance of his own.
