Carlos the Jackal trial to begin in Paris

The man known as Carlos the Jackal goes on trial in a Paris court on Monday, accused of killing 11 people and wounding nearly 200 more in four attacks in the early 1980s.

Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, who is already serving a life sentence for shooting dead two French secret agents and a Lebanese informer in 1975, denies the charges.
