Putin proposes ballot-box webcams to prevent election fraud

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has proposed installing web cameras at polling stations to prevent fraud at the forthcoming March presidential elections.

He suggested that the Central Election Committee install webcams at all of Russia's 90,000+ voting stations.

He said the cameras should be on 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so that the whole nation could watch what was happening at any given ballot-box.
