Netherlands judge backs cafe cannabis ban

A judge in the Netherlands has upheld a proposed law which will ban foreign tourists from entering cannabis cafes across the country.

There is growing concern about the number of tourists visiting the Netherlands purely for drugs, and foreign dealers buying to sell illegally in their home nations.

The ban starts in three southern provinces on 30 April before going nationwide by the end of the year.

Anna Holligan reports from Amsterdam.
