Suu Kyi looking forward to 'memorable' European visit
Aung San Suu Kyi has spoken of her excitement at arriving in Geneva for her first visit to Europe in 24 years.
Upon arriving at a hotel in the city, the Burmese pro-democracy leader said she expected her stay was "going to be a memorable trip for me".
Ms Suu Kyi, who is due to address the United Nations in Geneva, also spoke of her belief that Burma should take a more central role on the world stage.
Aung San Suu Kyi has spent much of the past 24 years under house arrest in Burma.
Her visit is seen as another milestone for the country's political progress.
