France's war in Algeria explored in Paris exhibition
An exhibition has opened in Paris to mark the 50th anniversary of Algerian independence from France.
The event is a look back over France's long military presence in the country.
The exhibition at the Army Museum at the Invalides includes historic relics such as the ceremonial keys to the city of Algiers and the spurs of rebel leader Abdel Kader.
