British ambassador on France shootings children
Post-mortem examinations will be carried out later on the bodies of four people shot dead in the French Alps.
Three members of a British family - named as Saad al-Hilli, 50, from Surrey, his wife and mother-in-law - were found dead in their BMW near Lake Annecy on Wednesday.
Prosecutor Eric Maillaud said that one lead being followed was a possible dispute between brothers over money.
The British Ambassador to France, Sir Peter Ricketts, said that a four-year-old girl found hiding at the scene was "deeply, deeply shocked" but being looked after by British Consular staff alongside the French authorities.
