Robertson: 'Uefa must take toughest measures'

The sports minister has called on Uefa to "take the toughest possible measures" after violent brawls marred Tuesday's match between England and Serbia's Under 21s teams.

Hugh Robertson described the clashes between players and coaching staff following England's victory as "unacceptable". England Under-21 defender Danny Rose has called for Serbia to be banned after claiming he was racially abused by fans in Krusevac.

Mr Robertson said Uefa had to prove it was taking the matter seriously and not set "derisory fines".
