UK referendum: Germans have 'little sympathy' with Cameron

The Prime Minister has vowed to hold an in-out referendum on Britain's EU membership if the Conservatives are re-elected in 2015.

In a long-awaited speech, Mr Cameron said he wanted the British people to be given a straight choice.

But what do people from other EU states think of the move?

Artur Fischer, Chief Executive of the Berlin Stock Exchange, said Germans were more concerned about the economy and would question why the UK would want to go in a different direction.
