Journalist behind Pope 'Dirty War' claims speaks to BBC

Investigative journalist Horacio Verbitsky has told the BBC that he stands by his claim that Pope Francis failed to speak out against human rights abuses during military rule in his native Argentina.

The Vatican has denied the allegations including one that the then-Cardinal Bergoglio betrayed two Jesuits who were tortured by the military junta in 1976.

Alastair Leithead reports.
