Pope Francis wants 'poor Church for the poor'

Pope Francis has said he wants a "poor Church, for the poor" in his first meeting with hundreds of journalists in Rome.

He said said he picked the name Francis after St Francis of Assisi, who represented "poverty and peace".

He urged the media to get to know the Church with its 'virtues and sins' and to share its focus on 'truth, goodness and beauty'.

Alan Little reports from Rome.
