WWI gravestones inspected at Arras

Ahead of the anniversary of the start of World War I, the gravestones of hundreds of thousands of the fallen are being inspected.

Every inscription is being checked, and thousands are being replaced to ensure the cemeteries look their very best for the commemorations next year.

Christian Fraser has been to Arras, scene of some of the fiercest fighting towards the end of war.
