Medvedev calls Georgian president 'a war criminal' on conflict anniversary

As Russia's diplomatic ties with the United States are under the spotlight, its relationship with its southern neighbour Georgia remains tense.

It's five years since the two countries went to war over the disputed region of South Ossetia - but diplomatic ties are yet to be re-established, and both countries continue to blame each other for the conflict.

Georgians are still counting the cost of the five day conflict in which 400 lives were lost.
