Berlusconi faces expulsion from parliament

Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is expected to be expelled from parliament by the senate over his criminal conviction.

Mr Berlusconi was found guilty of tax fraud in October 2012, but his supporters claim the charges were part of a political vendetta.
