Preparing to mark the 100th anniversary of WWI

Preparations to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of WWI are under way.

There will be numerous events to mark specific dates in the war, and they will continue for the next four years.

One of the biggest challenges will be explaining the sacrifices made by so many to a generation who will never meet a soldier who served in the battles.
