Inside Ukraine's 'protest town'

Ukraine's first post-independence president has warned that his country is on the brink of civil war.

Leonid Kravchuk addressed the Ukrainian parliament as it debated a possible amnesty for the scores of protesters arrested in anti-government demonstrations.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov and his cabinet resigned after months of protests.

But in central Kiev, demonstrators at a "protest town" - equipped with food stalls, a church tent and a makeshift hospital - show no sign of leaving, as the BBC's Steve Rosenberg reports.
