Ukraine crisis: Yulia Tymoshenko leaves hospital to cheers

Former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has left the hospital where she was being held under armed guard to cheers from supporters.

On Saturday, MPs voted for her immediate release from detention.

She was convicted of abuse of power in 2011 over her actions during her time in office - an act her supporters claim was President Yanukovych's way of taking out his most prominent opponent.

BBC Russian reporter Yuri Maloveryan was at the scene.
