Missing plane: Cyclone Gillian north of search area

International search efforts for flight MH370 are continuing, after it disappeared on 8 March with 239 people on board.

The search has been taking place in two large corridors - one stretching to the north-west of the last known location in the Malacca Strait, and one to the south-west.

BBC Weather's Elizabeth Saary explains how weather conditions could hamper efforts in the coming days.
