Ukraine crisis: Donetsk 'government' round the table

Pro-Russia activists who have formed a "people's republic of Donetsk" have been holding sessions for journalists, claiming they have support from three countries.

Pro-Russia demonstrators continue to occupy government buildings in the cities of Donetsk and Luhansk, despite the decision of Ukrainian authorities earlier this week to launch what they call an "anti-terrorist operation" against armed separatists.

Ukraine's Interior Minister, Arsen Avakov, told journalists in Kiev that the crisis in eastern Ukraine will be resolved within 48 hours, either through negotiations or by force.

The BBC's Steve Rosenberg has been in a meeting with separatists in Donetsk.
