Tension remains in eastern Ukraine after Geneva talks

Russia, Ukraine, the US and the European Union have said that all sides have agreed to steps to "de-escalate" the crisis in eastern Ukraine.

The talks led to an agreement that all illegal military formations in Ukraine must be dissolved, and that everyone occupying buildings must be disarmed and leave them.

There were fears of some resistance to the Geneva deal in eastern Ukraine by pro-Russian separatists.

The situation had escalated on Thursday after three pro-Russian separatists were killed in a raid on a base in eastern Ukraine.
