Ukraine crisis: Eastern rebels claim 'self-rule' poll victory

Pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine have declared victory in an unofficial referendum.

They claim 89% of people in the Donetsk region voted in favour of independence.

However, the poll has been described as illegal by the European Union and the United States, and the government in Kiev said it was a "criminal farce".
