Turkey mine company denies negligence

The operating company which owns the mine in Turkey in which at least 282 people died, has denied negligence contributed to the disaster.

In a press conference, Soma Holding said it had invested in the most advanced safety technology.

The mine owner Alp Gurkan said he was shocked and upset by what had happened.
