Ukraine's Petro Poroshenko urges Russia talks

The man set to become Ukraine's next president has called for talks with Russia, as a way to help ease tension between the two countries.

Official results are expected on Monday but exit polls suggest the billionaire confectionary magnate Petro Poroshenko has won the election with about 56% of the vote.

At a news conference, he said it would be "almost impossible to speak about the security in the whole region" without Russian participation in talks.
