Italy's navy finds 30 bodies in migrant boat

Around 30 bodies have been found in a fishing boat carrying hundreds of migrants between Sicily and the North African coast.

Those who died appeared to have been asphyxiated.

The discovery was made when rescuers boarded the vessel over the weekend to evacuate a number of people said to be in distress, two of them pregnant women.

The Italian coastguard has released footage of the boat, along with others it rescued over the weekend as Alan Johnston reports.
