Diplomatic reaction following crash of MH17 in Ukraine

International outrage has grown after a Malaysia Airlines plane crashed in eastern Ukraine, with 298 people onboard.

The Dutch prime minister said that no effort would be spared to uncover the truth about what happened; while President Obama said everyone - including the Russians - would be expected to co-operate with the investigation.

However, speaking at the Kremlin, President Putin said the blame rested squarely with the government of Ukraine.

BBC diplomatic correspondent Bridget Kendall reports.
