Russian aid convoy crosses border into Ukraine

Reports from Russia say a convoy carrying aid for civilians in rebel-held eastern Ukraine has started to move into Ukraine.

The Russian foreign ministry said that Russia had decided to act because it was tired of the Kiev government's refusal to approve the convoy.

Ukraine has been reluctant to allow the convoy into the country, in case it provides help to the rebels.

Daniel Sandford reports from Moscow.
