Evidence of human rights abuses in Ukraine

Human Rights Watch in Moscow has published evidence of human rights abuses in the regions controlled by pro-Russian separatists.

The group says that since April, armed fighters supporting the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk arbitrarily detained hundreds of civilians, including journalists, pro-Ukrainian political activists and non-Orthodox religious leaders.

Tanya Lokshina from Human Rights Watch in Moscow spoke to BBC News.
