Protesters attack police in Turkish town bordering Syria

Protesters have attacked police with petrol bombs and fire crackers in the Kurdish populated, south-eastern Turkish town of Cizre on Syrian border.

According to the BBC's Paul Adams, many Kurds are convinced that Turkey has been in league with Islamic State from the start of its rampage across Syria and Iraq.

Some believe Turkey has been allowing foreign fighters to pass easily through Turkish territory to join the fight in Syria.
