Pierre Moscovici: 'Greece should stay in the EU'

The European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs says he wants "to open a new era" in the relationship between the European Union and Greece.

Pierre Moscovici told the BBC that it was "time to move on in order to keep Greece in the euro zone."

Mr Moscovici spoke after the boss of the country's central bank warned that Greece's economy faced "irreparable" damage from the ongoing political crisis on Monday.
