Greek finance minister: 'It's not about who will blink first'

Greece's new left-wing finance minister says his government wants a "rational discussion" with the country's creditors.

Yanis Varoufakis told the BBC's Newsnight programme that contrary to what had been reported he had held a "very fruitful meeting" with Jeroen Dijsselbloem, head of the eurozone group of finance ministers in Athens on Friday.

But he said Greece was not prepared to carry on trying "to enforce an unenforceable programme" of austerity measures.
