Alps plane crash: Local resident describes noise 'like earthquake'

A woman who works near the site of the Germanwings Airbus A320 crash in the French Alps has described hearing a noise like "a small earthquake".

Rejane, who lives in the crash site area, between Barcelonnette and Digne, told BBC News that she had not associated the noise with any type of aircraft until she learned of the crash.

The plane, flight 4U 9525, had been en route from Barcelona to Duesseldorf with 144 passengers and six crew.
