Germanwings crash: Time of great sorrow' - Merkel

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said that it is a "time of great sorrow" after a Germanwings airliner crashed in the French Alps.

Mrs Merkel said that events surrounding the crash would be thoroughly investigated, and that her thoughts were with the families of those affected.
